We and the chattans side live in different places and for different reasons none of them works out to make the chasuna. (My daughter wants a more "modern touched" wedding and where the boy lives kosher catering is way too expensive so we decided to do it in LA. Can someone help us with a list of Kosher wedding halls over there ? It doesn't have to be so big as most of the people going will be flying in.. (which makes the number of people less...)

We had a family wedding in the Hilton Universal studios. Its beautiful. But nothing is cheap there..
Everything is run with a party planner and everything is expensive.

LA’er here. The options are the three halls mentioned above (all are smaller than the typical in NY/NJ wedding), or doing it in a hotel. I think for hotels you need to use a party planner, as there is no such thing as a Kosher hotel. Weddings here are very expensive.

I don’t have personal experience making a wedding but in general Simchas are very expensive here. Many many people who live here make their weddings on the east coast.

I guess it depends on the size you need and how elegant you need it to be.
You could see if you could rent a venue (not a hotel) and then hire a kosher caterer but you would probably need some kind of planner to pull everything together since you aren't here.
If you are thinking about the kind of halls that exist on the East Coast they just don't.
If the wedding is relatively small you could see if you could rent the space for a synagogue. I don't know if weddings are typically done there but my friend had a Bah Mitzvah lunch in the synagogue communal room.
I know nothing about these caterers but this might give you a sense of what people do

Never been here but this is in the heart of the old Jewish section on Fairfax

I am not from LA but assume the prices are sky high there. How about having the Chuppah in a lovely Shul, and Dancing and the meal can be at a different Venue.

The Luxe hotel in LA has kosher catering. It’s on the smaller side for weddings but very nice
