I teach and make about 40k for limudei kodesh in Lakewood. I also get free tuition which is worth a lot (otherwise I wouldn't be able to stay in teaching and I know that applies to many others as well)
I freelance on the side and make between 35-45k a year depending on different factors.
It's a lot of work combined but I do what I love which is good.

Clinical social worker
25-30 hours a week, some private clients, some through a clinic. Decent benefits and PTO through the clinic. Very flexible schedule (My favorite perk. Really family friendly.).

I got quotes from 2 daycares for 1k less a month for baby room morah |
I work in a baby room, fourth year in the same place so salary went up a little every year.
Subs are making 35-40$ an hour now and a lot of them are booked through pesach so there's a big demand for them. Might be more worth it for you to do that

Out of curiosity, is it common in your community for women to stop working when they get married before they have kids? What’s your schedule like? Hope this doesn’t come out as judgey, I’m just curious about different cultures.

A business service sort of. (Pretty specific so I don't want to say what) my salary is up and down in connection with my work load. It's all from Hashem. If I'm making more I'm working Hard! If I'm making less I'm barely working.

How much per period is normal to ask for in a regular Lakewood high school? I was offered a job (afternoon) for a couple of periods a week but don't know what the going rate is.
