Lol. Anyone in the travel industry knows that’s no true. These aren’t your “help me book my ticket” agents of yesteryear.
I have a brother and another relative in the business both making deep six figures while also learning 2 sedarim a day bh.

What do the travel agents do nowadays? I also would assume most people just book their own things online.

I’m an elementary school principal. I work way too many hours, and get paid far too little. But I love what I do, and rumor is that I’m bH good at it.

I book through an agent only. Lifesaver.
Generally, busy wealthy people don’t have time to book tix online- their agents also take care of car rentals, hotel rooms, medical insurance and more. They can also get cheaper tickets for you than you’d find online if you pay with miles.

25-30 hours a week, some private clients, some through a clinic. Decent benefits and PTO through the clinic. Very flexible schedule (My favorite perk. Really family friendly.).
150k before taxes |
Im curious how your schedule is flexible? Unless you mean choosing what hours to work. I’m also surprised you have benefits at a clinic when PT, that would be so nice!
I’m a clinical SW as well. 5 years in. Also splitting my time between clinic and private but cap at about 20hours a week. I work specifically with high risk clients and limit my caseload. I love what I do but my biggest issue is flexibility. I have a very hard time taking off unless I absolutely have to, and to a certain extent my mind doesn’t really turn off.
I don’t know my income off hand since we withhold combined taxes and my husbands income is high. Around 4k a month average considering I don’t get paid YT etc.

NOT the poster quoted.
I was a sahm, by choice, for over 10 years. I went back to work a few years ago. I work for a software company and make over 80k a year.
No one judged me, probably because we were t on any government programs. Dh bh has a great paying job.
Bh as kids grow older the expenses are higher. I had to go back to work bh my youngest was already in school

What about my comment? I meant that this isn’t a travel agent helping someone book a straight forward ticket. They help ppl with business/ first/ private bookings. They act as a concierge with planning trips or hotels/ food. Usually they have a specialty- knowing how to expedite visas or passports, having connections, knowing how to use points effectively etc.
