Recently went to Trader Joe's for first time ever and purchased the following spices: everything but the bagel, umami, and Green Goddess. I'm the sort who needs to be told exact amounts for cooking. I don't like experimenting; I need to know that my dishes will come out good. Can you please share recipe ideas using these spices?

You can make the Green Godess dressing recipe on the back of the Green Godess spice. I use Parve milk and lemon juice in place of buttermilk, and Toffutti in place of sour cream.

I also use Green Godess on Cauliflower, or any Roasted veggies for that matter. Just sprinkle on a generous amount and some salt and oil.

EBTB is good on salmon. Go heavy. You can drizzle some honey too.

Umami is good in mushroom soup.

I use everything spice on chicken, green goddess and salt to marinate chicken cutlets, umamu also on chicken. The citrus garlic is yum on both chicken and fish
I also appreciate that most of their spice blends are sugar free unlike others ....

The Jewish version of the traditional seven layer dip

Seven Layer Bagel and Lox Dip

Source: Jason Goldstein - Chop Happy

This seven layer dip puts a fun spin on an everything bagel with lox and cream cheese. The dish, which can serve six people, is great for brunch or summer get togethers.

Ready in 15 minutes

Ingredients

* 1 cup hummus
* 2 tomatoes (chopped)
* 16 ounces whipped cream cheese
* 1/2 lemon (juice)
* 4 scallions (chopped)
* 4 ounces smoke salmon slices
* 1/4 cup capers (drained)
* 8 ounces sour cream
* 4 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning (2 tbsp for hummus, 2 for top layer)
* 1 teaspoon salt and pepper

Directions

First Layer: Mix hummus and two tablespoons everything seasoning together. Then spread at the
bottom of the dish.

Second Layer: Mix tomatoes, salt and pepper. Spread on top of hummus layer.

Third layer: Mix cream cheese, lemon juice and scallions. Spread on top of the tomato layer.

Fourth Layer: Layer lox on top of the cream cheese layer.

Fifth Layer: Sprinkle capers on top of the salmon.

Sixth Layer: Smear sour cream on top of the capers.

Seventh Layer: Sprinkle remaining everything bagel seasoning on top.

Finally, dip with veggies, crackers or bagel chips.

EBTB on chicken or salmon- do you add anything else, or just sprinkle the spice and bake?
