my 7 year old has been getting a rash around her mouth every time she eats and apple. any ideas what it can be ?

Oral allergy syndrome can come from raw fruits which cause no reaction if eaten after being cooked or baked. It is not the same as a real food allergy where cooking doesn't mitigate the allergy. Does a baked apple give her the same reaction?

yes she complains it's itchy

Could it be from the pesticides? Is your child eating the apple with the peel or without?
