My 8yo sleeps with 5-6 blankets/comforters piled on top of him.

It's not cold in his room (he even turns on the fan!!!)

I think he likes the weight of it.
I'm looking at weighted blanket on amazon and thinking the heavier the better... I guess? They seen to range from 3-15 lbs.
Would I get a 10 lb. one?

What's the advantages of weight blankets?

And what does it mean that they are fil d with glass beads???
Thanks in advance

Not the heavier the better. Use the size charts, usually about 10% of body weight. They are great, I cant sleep without mine.

We love our weighted blankets. The recommendation is 10% of body weight. But my son and grandson prefer it heavier.
I saw these and am thinking of trying one. Works like a weighted blanket but without the weight.

My 10 year old just started sleeping with one. He loves it! My husband is worried about him getting too attached. I mean he can't travel with it...

Sounds like your son needs the input and a weighed blanket should be great for him.

I'm tempted to try one too but I'm nervous il become too dependent on it.

I just started this and am loving it, whereas I was unable to sleep under a weighted blanket.
