I don't know if they understand it at that age, but they enjoy looking at the pictures and I can reference things in there when talking about Shabbos.
The real classic is this one: https://www.shopeichlers.com/p...../2584 which we also had in Yiddish (one of the kids ripped it up)
It's brilliant, concise, and made my learning about the melachos in high school much easier with that foundation.
I don't really know enough about the difference between the parsha books, sorry! We have one but in general I find these types of translated books to be a little frustrating for me.
