My 6 yo son is in pre-1-a. He's been in school for 4 years already and never had this problem. This week he had an accident (not wet) four times already. It can happen, he's just a kid, but 4 times?? I'm going to speak to his pediatrician , but anyone have any clues as to what I can look into?

Take him for a throat culture. Also check for constipation or UTI.

Rule out strep, pinworms and being abused. Those are the most common causes for sudden accidents.

Constipation can do it, even if his BMs seem regular. An X-ray can tell you.

Thank you all for replying. I'll start w strep culture and urine culture. If both come back negative, I guess we'll dig further.
