I want to take my baby for a professional photo shoot.
Picture People or JCPenney? How do they compare price wise and quality wise?
Any other recommendations?
The frum people who do photography are just way too cost prohibitive.
Thanks!

Thanks, I think I will go with jc penney.
Shoott sounds nice, but they do outdoor shoots in parks and riverfronts, not so practical for a baby in December.

Bumping this.
I wanted to take family photos. I understood JC Penny is cheap.
Can someone who did this guide me?
Offer now (always?) is $119.99 for digital album + 40% off photography purchase + $6.99 standard prints. Offer detail in small is $14.99 session fee per subject
If I do 4 ppl, it is 14.99x4 plus $119.99 + 6.99? $186.94 That is very far from cheap. What am I missing?

Did you end up doing it? This one also says $14.99 per subject.
Am I paying the subject fee only? and then I can decide if I want the digital album or the 6.99 prints?

I buy a groupon for 30. It includes 3 digital pictures and one print out. That's a total of 4 poses.. no other charges.

Can you link the groupon? I don't see this option.

Correct, you pay the subject fee per person. Then you can decide if you want to buy the digital album and/or the prints.

With jcpenney it's worth buying the membership. I don't know what the terms are today but when I used to do it back in the day it was good for 2 years. No sitting fees for anyone. And you get some free prints. It basically paid for itself.

Do you know how much a private photographer costs? Do some research and then you’ll understand why that’s cheap .

Why does anyone think photography should be cheap? If it’s a private photographer the equipment is really expensive, and it takes hours from planning, to shooting, to editing. If it’s a place like JCPenney the equipment is still expensive plus they need to pay salaries. Do you all work for $2 an hour? This field deserves more respect. If you want cheap take on your cell phone.

I didn’t realize picture people still existed. Is it new ownership?
I haven’t been to JCPenney since Covid because they don’t do the $10 packages anymore. Those were great
