My 6 month old had a B"H normal, uncomplicated recovery from his Bris.
However, for the last month, approximately, there are several times when the glans looks like it is "sunken in" and covered by skin, almost as if my son never had a Bris.
I thought it might be due to adhesions, but I am able to very gently pull the skin back down, without causing my son any pain or bleeding, as far as I can tell.
When I do pull the skin down, sometimes the glans stays out and then looks as expected, other times it "sinks" right back under the skin. I have also found whitish material that sometimes accumulates in the area, which I'm guessing is smegma?
Aside from this, the area looks completely normal, not red or irritated etc.
Has anyone else experienced this? Should I leave it alone?

if your able to pull it back then its totally fine and normal. if it gets stuck then theres an adhesion and you can ask your dr for a cream to help unstick it. its very common in chubby babies (tho my fatter baby did not have it, and my chubby but nit as fat baby did have an adhesion)
the white stuff is also normal. IME

It happens sometimes. My son was similar. It corrected itself over 2 years or so.
Show it to the Mohel, he should know what it is. If you're concerned, show it to the doctor.

Generally it's just flab. You can mention it to the pediatrician next time you're there anyway. Don't panic.

I found that when the kid starts walking, gravity kicks in and it stops sinking in.

Chubby baby? It's fine, it'll look normal as he starts to grow.

Thank you everyone for the responses. I figured it was normal, but just needed some reassurances.
He's a delicious, chubby baby B"H :-)

My son had that too, it didn't fully go away until he was out of diapers. Just make sure you keep it clean- pull back and wipe away the white stuff once a day.

I just went to my pediatrician this morning with a very similar question. She said it was okay. I suggest that you visit your pediatrician.

I would definatly advice OP and all those with this or similar concerns, to get a qualified and professional Mohel to check it out. Not worth risking the kashrus!
(a pediatrition, even though he is very professional, he might not be qualified to know what's 'kosher' etc. so you'd need to ask a qualified and professional Mohel, or a Rav that knows about brissim)
Wishing you to be over and done with it very soon!

Ummmm...this post is over 8 and a half years old. Why would you bump up a post from a boy that is closer to having his bar mitzvah. Than his Bris??

I bumped into it yesterday.
And TBH, I didn't check the dates when the last post was sent... But might be it's still relevant!
