Hi I just had a radical double mastectomy
DO NOT SEND LOTION OR PERFUME they are verboten
Best gifts I got:
Ugg slippers
Cozy wrap for over a dress
Comic book (my brain was/is goo)
A compilation of the rebbe of Lubavitch doing dollars on Sunday each one lasts twenty seconds which is my approximate attention span
Also love exotic fruit and was thrilled with that

Oy, so sorry you're going through that. Wishing you a very quick and complete recovery.

A nice cozy hoodie. She will have drains and won’t be able to lift shirts over her head so these will come in handy. Or really any zip up shirt.

I'm on chemo now. Don't send anything edible or that has a scent. Things I can eat change daily, and smells can be nauseating. The things that I use the most are UGG's and an electric blanket. On chemo, one is always cold. Anything big and cozy will be appreciated.

I was going to say this too!! The megabee, and/or the blanket and ugg slippers, depending on budget. But the swaddlebee is the best option.

From the answers here it seems hoodies/wearable blankets and cozy slippers are the clear winners.

Swaddlebee has a super cozy zip up hoodie which might hit two birds with one stone.

Honestly I didn't get it either until I caved and bought one. Its not a warm thick blanket it's a thinner super cozy and soft blanket. And washes well and doesn't get linty. I now get it. The hoodie is called cozibee and it's listed under other products I think.
