I am just curious what the going rate is for preschool? My son will be 2 in December I"yh. I called some places and basically for like 2-3 days a week 9:30-1 its between $200-$300 a month...is this normal? It's my first kid so I'm not sure...thanks

I pay $180 a month for mon thru thurs 9:30 to 2:00 and friday 9:30 to 12:00.

I pay $300/month for M-Thurs 9-2:30 and Friday 9-11:45. I believe smaller groups in private homes are more expensive.

I pay $400 a month incl transportation. Mon-Thur 9-3 Fri 9-12:30. Lunch and snack are incl. This is a legal playgroup with 12 kids.

Wow, then I guess my price is well...cheap!! I run a licensed playgroup and I charge 190.00 $ per month. Its for four days a week, three hourse a day. I provide the snack.

I paid s75 in one place with transportation and lunch and another place I sent too wanted to charge me 450. next year I am sending ds it will be 285 no transportation and no lunch and 9 to 3

I think it is a little on the expensive side. It ends up being like 7 hours a week?

It completely depends on where you live and the type of program you're looking for. There's a nursery/preschool in my neighborhood with a class for frum children that is close to $10,000 for the school year. It's in a regular preschool/educational facility and is highly structured but I'm in Manhattan.

I disagree. If you have an "unlicensed" playgroup in your house, you'll probably charge less than a fully certified Bd. of Health regulated nursery school that is in a regular school location.

I pay $275 for 9-2 and 9-12 on fridays. My playgroup is for the next year it is 3-4 yr olds.

I pay 225 without transportation. 9:30 -2:30 fri is 9:30 - 12:00 Very experienced teachers. Im in monsey I know its a lot more in the city so each place is different. Smart for checking around thou.

I'm in Williamsburg, and pay $300/month without transportation. The hours are 10-3:30.

in lakewood, playgroups for 2, 3, and 4 year olds are usually about $185-$200 a months for 9:30 to 2:00 around. for 18-24 month old playgroups, its $200-$250 a month, same hours.
but many people also send to clubs, an afternoon program from 2-4 for another $110-$150 a month

I'm in Flatbush, and I pay 395 a week for 8:30 to 3, plus 8:30 to 12 on fridays. Includes meals and snacks.
I know there are cheaper options in in my nabe, but this teacher is really great.
