I saw these new 'Decal' advertised. Did anyone try it?
I dislike the corrugated plastic, they are hard to cut, and water gets trapped inside.
Anyone have ideas? It's for rounded granite countertops.

If your countertop is granite, can't you just kasher it? That's what we do.

It's probably allowed, but for tradition reasons, we cover it as well.

How do you stick it on? With counter tape? I imagine it can get holes easily...

Okay. Just so you know, our granite countertop came with a certificate from the Zomet Institute certifying that it is kasherable.

I like the cheap part but I want it to look decent. I also wouldnt mind something I can have precut and use every year. It ends up almost 2 weeks for me, as I prep in kitchen earlier.

Corrugated plastic. It's thick and durable and after the first year cutting to fit your counter you can reuse for years

The best reusable counter covers I ever had were plywood, cut to fit. I covered them with heavy duty foil. So easy. I used them for years. Until I moved!

In answer to the two questions addressed to me:
Hardware stores usually have three thicknesses of clear plastic - buy the heaviest one and tape it. Some people first put a layer of foil underneath.
Plastic off a roll? Any good housewares store. In Brooklyn, I recommend Yossel's on 18th and 49th street. You can preorder by phone and they will have it ready for you to pick up

The 2 ft floor tiles are the perfect depth for the counter. Line them up, and tape them down.

My counters are not the same width everywhere. I have corners and bar counters which are wider. It is also rounded. I want something that's one piece to cover (no tape in between). I don't think the tiles will work on these.
