Chummus
Grilled chicken cutlets
Lean London Broil
Sautéed string beans
Roasted carrots
Grilled mushrooms, red pepper, eggplant, zucchini
Pareve chulent-skip the kishka feel free to add eggs if you like
Roasted regular and or sweet potatoes
Butternut or acorn squash
Quinoa with edamame and craisins
Pasta salad (usually purple cabbage)
Fresh fruit -melon, pineapple grapes…..
Any dessert-just those who need to watch should limit.
Basically skip the kugel, fried foods (schnitzel) and keep the red meat lean and sparse.
This is what we typically eat (when I have company). My friends, if they are here can probably identify me by my very predictable menu.
