Anyone have it? I’m a simple patchke free quick as can be cook and prefer to use affordable easy to find ingredients. Also trying to eat in a healthier way. Does this cookbook for the bill?

Definitely not patchke free. Very cool cookbook, but has a lot of more exotic ingredients and some newer methods. Not sure it sounds like the quick and easy cookbook you’re looking for.

I have Totally Kosher. I didn't find the recipes to be difficult or a potchke unless you literally just want to dump some bought sauce on unseasoned meat and stick it in the oven Very Happy

I made two of her recipes and posted them. They were both easy and used *normal* ingredients. The rib recipe was easy but used sumac. Using interesting spices and herbs is an easy way to elevate your food. You buy the spice and cook with it and then use it because you liked the original dish or you find other recipes that use it or you hate it and give it to someone who likes the spice. LOL

A plus is that her recipes let you know whether a recipe is good for freezing and gives instructions on how to freeze and reheat for best results.

Ingredients for rib sauce

2 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries (thawed, if frozen)
1 cup pomegranate juice
½ cup honey
2 teaspoons ground sumac
Zest and juice of 1 lemon

Ingredients for ribs which are baked in the oven

RIBS

3 pounds bone-in beef spare ribs
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
3 tablespoons grapeseed oil

Recipe for Ribs posted here

I also made her Marzipan Butter Cups which would be an easy and delicious nosh for Pesach and could be made with your kids as a fun project

If you would like me to post a recipe for other stuff to give you more of a sense of the book, I would be happy to do so

I read about her in Hadassah magazine and looked up some recipes. They look good but a lot of ingredients I don’t have and don’t want to order from Amazon.
