I was looking for a recipe for my dd and since I typed it up for her, I figured, I might as well post it.

Classic Chocolate Cake

2/3 cup marg, softened

1 2/3 cups sugar

3 eggs

2 cups flour

2/3 cup cocoa powder

1 1/4 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

2/3 cup non-dairy creamer or soy milk

2/3 cup water

Mix dry ingredients together. mix water and non dairy creamer together.

In a large bowl, cream marg. and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add dry ing. alternating with liquids, beating until smooth after each addition. Pour into a greased 9 x 13" pan or 2 round pans. bake at 350 for 35- 40 mins for 9 x 13, 25 to 30 for round pans (maybe a bit longer) 15-20 minutes for cupcakes

my dd just called, she said they baked this cake in camp with two groups of kids making it. She was amazed that it turned out perfectly.

I came online yesterday about an hour before Shabbos to look for a cake recipe because I didn't want to patchke with even my easiest recipe (which involves making crumbs). My criteria for a cake recipe were:

1. Easy

2. Cookielady had to have been the one to post it. LOL

This cake came out AMAZING and it was supereasy.

I knew you wouldn't let me down! ;-)

Im so glad it turned out well. We have a rule in our home, if someone really, really likes something I make, and go overboard complimenting me, we give the recipe the honor of having the said complimenters name in recipe, meaning, if you keep it up, it could become "Crayon Chocolate Cake".
