Anyone have any tricks for keeping makeup through a 3 day yom tov with my new family (dH's)? Obviously it won't look the same by the second day, but any beauty tips on keeping it look presentable, prepping in advance, sprays to keep it on ?? im the type that looks very different without makeup and I'm not comfortable with them yet... help! (please don't tell me I don't need makeup to feel pretty or that I shouldn't care etc.)

A good primer
The elf blue one is good
Mascara with a primer and eyeliner
Put a slip on your pillow or something silky and your makeup won't come off as easily
The black makeup spray
Put foundation and primer on your eyelids so your makeup stays
Long-lasting loreal lipstick or just put some oil so your lips are shiny once your lipstick comes off
It's so hard not to feel pretty at your in laws
Good luck! I'm a makeup gal too so I get you

I love static lipstick. It's long lasting and doesn't get gross and peel like plastic like the others. If I don't eat soup and be careful, it will stay on until Monday if I put it on for shabbos.

Use gel eyeliner. Setting with dark eyeshadow helps with longevity as well.
Multiple coats of mascara.
I never have good luck with eyeshadow so can't help with that.

Put on eye shadow magnet before eyeshadow. Do 2 coats of eye shadow. 2 coats gel eyeliner. 2 coats a good mascara.

I like to use self tanner and false lashes for a long yt. Use the individual lashes because I find that the strip ones can come off and then you’re left with no lashes at all.

Mac painterly paint pot and carefully use the shadow to set it. I have oily lids and this is the best product and method I have ever tried.

Layer, layer, layer. If I need makeup to last more than 24 hrs, I'll use my regular products and do 5-6 layers, spraying after each 2-3 layers. False lashes are a huge face-lift and can be almost as good as makeup sometimes.
Also, very important: if your makeup does start flaking or peeling over the course of YT, WASH IT ALL OFF. Nothing looks worse than a poorly half made flaky face, even if you think your natural look is awful!
Also, expect to spend a lot of time motzaei YT exfoliating and moisturizing to clean up your skin and pores from having so much product on it for so long.

I am not always up for this process, but it works pretty well:
Primer for face and primer for eyeshadow (can use concealer).
Do your fancy eyeshadow and liner. Set with setting powder.
Cream foundation, correction, contour and blush layer.
Tinted powder and powder blush layer plus highlighter.
Finishing powder.
Highlighter.
More eyeliner.
Mascara.
2 coats Maybelline 24 hour in sort of natural color.
Debating flase lashes this year, lol
Drop whatever middle steps you want, just get the primer and setting powder parts<3

I’m bad at makeup but this sounds like it’ll look cakey and awful. I’ve never heard of makeup peeling lol, it’s because you’re doing 5 layers.

I use lip liner, then Maybelline 24 hr, then a coat of Careline, another one of Maybelline. Sometimes I even do two more coats. Make sure to dry in between. Finally the vaseline type coat that comes with Maybelline.
Sometimes it lasts, sometimes it doesn't. I am PLOTZING to get a heter for semi-permanent eyeliner. Or dye my eyelashes. But too scared of getting in my eyes, and also I'm extremely sensitive so I could break out.
I did two coats of a supposedly very good eye liner a couple of weeks ago, and it all just peeled off. This week I tried a new one, Stila Stay all Day, but I felt pretty itchy...
