Which way is preferable?

Also, anyone tried freezing cooked potato? Does that stay fresh in in the fridge?

definitely baked. it holds pretty long in the fridge but if you want to freeze it, it warms up so nicely. yum.

Lightly baked. Then it browns over when you rewarm it.

I've frozen raw & found that it comes out great. Just place frozen kugel into cold oven, with a little water & oil (tablespoon or 2 of each) & bake as usual (temp, covered & uncovered preference) just for longer
