In Jerusalem area, willing to travel up to an hour. Not too expensive and not too packed if possible 🤷
Ages 5-15
My kids are soooo bored!

Ammunition Hill - once they've seen the museum and video explanation, then the kids can climb through the old trenches and act it out

A massive carnival where everyone gets to dress up like biblical times, make biblical crafts, and tour the diggings and the site of the mishkan. They have a 3D mishkan show, and a bunch of other things

Not true. It's doable. Leave at 6-7am. Get to attraction at 7-8am. Leave attraction by 11/12 and enjoy a peaceful afternoon at home. Everyone winds down and you get an early start on dinner. Prep the night before food and clothing etc.

Yup. And if you have Littles at home this is a schedule they're already on lol. Might as well work with it.
And you escape the heat!

Short local hike in the morning. Alas, we will be going to a funeral this afternoon for two girls.

I'm all for beating the crowds, but how do you leave at 6-7 am if you want to go with DH who first has to go to 1.25 hour chol hamoed davening?

We went to the Jerusalem botanical gardens today. It was pretty quiet. They had some projects set up as well as a bunch of wooden games. Bring scooters or rollerblades to avoid tired kids legs.

A) He goes to a neitz minyan.
Or
B) He davens there. It's not Sukkot, so he doesn't even need to carry lulav and etrog.
