Pretty crowded but wait times were not bad at all and all arcades available
I’ve long ago stopped searching for a place within driving distance of NYC that isn’t crowded

Was there too.

I got there around 1, was pretty empty, no lines for rides.
Filled up like an hr or two later.

Bear Mountains
was crowded but the place can handle thousands of people easily. We went on the carousel, no line, walked, biked, scootered around the lake and played tag and ball in the field. Then we headed to the playground which was full and from there to the other side of the park near the Hudson River in the hopes of seeing a train. We would have gone to the zoo but I'm pregnant and avoid seeing nonkosher animals. Overall had a nice day.

There are thousands of cherry blossoms in full bloom. Great weather.
It was insanely crowded for the non-Jewish holiday. Also lots of Asians - I guess it's especially meaningful to the people who grew up with cherry blossoms in Asia.
Only a few frum families were there.

Is there anything else to do there besides look at the cherry blossoms?

We were going to go to Philadelphia Zoo, but by the time we sblepped out, was after 1 pm and they close at 5, and the drive is two hours. So we went instead to Crayola Experience. Was fantastic! Was crowded, but not terrible, and even my teen somewhat enjoyed, which was a win!

We went once NOT on Chol Hamoed and the line was out the door with a five hour wait for the go karts. No thanks. We turned around and drove the hour back home.
I'm pretty sure chol hamoed it would be just as packed.
