If Montreal has bad weather regularly, why is it taking this long to correct the problem?
What are people with infants, elderly, sick people doing?
Did anyone get Heterim to leave on Y"T because it was Sakana for them?

They’re saying that the reason it’s taking so long is cause they are afraid of carbon monoxide. Have no idea about anyone getting heterim but my baby did get sick from the cold ☹️ so as soon as shabbos was over we left

Live in Montreal too, my house was pitch black, no candles cuz ate all meals by mom.., was freezing and dark…

Yes!
I'm typing this with tears. There has been so much bad news. And yes, I include the extreme inconvenience and discomfort our friends in Montreal had to go through, even without the element of tragedy.

My bil went to his ILs as they have a newborn.
No power. They did not get a generator. They’re all bundled in sweaters and coats.
