We hand-wash knitted in the sink. I have no idea what you do with suede. I imagine that you replace it after it gets gross.

What sort of soap do you use? Hot or cold water? How long do you scrub?

I can't ever get the knitted ones clean. I wash on delicate so they don't fall apart, I do a long pre-soak, and still they look dingy. I guess they just need to be replaced once in a while. We have a lot of suede ones so they haven't gotten so dirty, yet.

black kippot, they never get dirty the longer you wear them the blacker they get, sometimes I think of the laundry but something inside me says "don't send them yet!

We have black velvet ones. We get the soft type, not the stiff, so it's machine washable. Washer, dryer, looks gorgeous!

Knit kippahs get gross and then go byebye. They do not get clean. Not with bleach, not with stain remover, not with anything. Just go buy another one.
