Warming Up food on Blech for Shabbat & Yom Tov

What tips can you share for warming up food on blech (mostly frozen) for Shabbat or Yom Tov

That's partly going to depend on how hot your blech is. It takes longer in the winter than the summer.

On Yom Tov you can put food directly on the blech, so it goes faster. Shabbos I count on two or three hours, but that's not frozen. If you can, take things out of the freezer earlier and let them at least partially defrost before heating them. The blech only heats from below, so it's not a good even heat for defrosting food.

I really suggest defrosting food ahead of time and not putting it on the blech frozen.

It needs to be dry food. If it's a wet food it's not easy.
