Conventional setting in toaster oven for cheesecake

I see posters wrote convection toaster oven for cheesecake was no good. it burnt/baked uneven.

would conventional setting work in a toaster oven?

Yes, it works fine. Just be careful in terms of how close it is to the upper element.

I usually put a piece of tin foil over it very loosely (especially so steam can escape as it bakes) for part of the time. Then take it off about 1/3 to 1/2 way through so it doesn't overbake the top. As it is in a small oven, it can get darker than it would in a conventional oven.

Anyway, that's what works for me Smile .

I would put it on the 3rd rack - the lowest.
