If the point of a capella is to be listened to during times of mourning for Klal Yisroel then pretty please, make the content and style appropriate for the time period.
Peppy, upbeat, make-you-wanna-get-up-and-dance music really has no place to be played on erev tisha despite being "kashered" via the process of converting to a capella.
As a side note, our Rov paskened that it's better to play for our young kids real kid music during these times rather than a capella.

Exactly. Anything what to do with vocals? They all pretty much sound the same to me.
