Yielding soft tasty meat.
Can you also specify if it’s boneless or with bone.

I always come back to this recipe. Deliciously soft, with no artifical ingredients/sauces. Simply and naturally good.

6 slices flanken w/bones or 4 slices square cut flanken
1 onion
2 cups chicken soup
2 Tbsp corn starch
Salt
Pepper
Garlic

Rub flanken with kosher salt and black pepper.Sear on each side for 2 minutes, till browned. Remove from pan and rub garlic onto each slice.
Saute half-circle sliced onions on low till starting to caramelize.
Line a 9×13 with a large piece of parchment paper, enough to cover meat. Place sautéed onions in bekeleh, then meat on top of it.
Dissolve corn starch in warm chicken soup and pour over meat.
Cover completely with the parchment paper and then cover bekeleh tightly with foil.
Bake on 300 for 4-6 hours.

I do this for square cut flanken :
In a container prepare a rub.
(It’s quite spicy. If you want it less, do half the black pepper and leave out cayenne)
2 T black pepper
2 T salt
1 T sugar
1 T onion powder
2 t mustard powder
2 t garlic powder
2 t chili powder
1 t cayenne pepper
Rub heavily onto thawed meat preferably square cut flanken.
Add 1/2 cup dry wine.
Pour thawed, thick chicken soup to cover the entire meat.
Cover very tightly.
Bake 375-400 4 hours
Enjoy

3-4 onions, sliced round
2-3 garlic
5 slices flanken
3 tablespoons onion soup mix
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup wine (I use red)
1/4 cup water

Put onions and garlic in pan. Add flanken and pour on rest. Bake on 350 for 4 hours covered tightly.
