Super random but can someone explain what this song is all about? I feel like the only one who just doesn't get it.
Is there meant to be a meaning behind this song? It's super cute but the words just sound like random phrases strung together.
For example -
Ah yay what we see
Ah yay destiny
Ah yay realize now we all know
the greatest
Is this supposed to mean something?

Is that the same song as ayeh this is the time of our lives? If yes, it’s a copy of a non Jewish song

Lol my 4.5 year old dd loves watching it and dancing it to it but I've never figured it out either or got what the theme/message is. It's literally disjointed phrases.

It's a dance cheering song saying we're having the time of our life and we don't want the fun to end.

A cover would usually be done acknowledging the original, and with permission. This is just stealing someone else's work.

It came out in corona so I fire thought it was about everyone coming together even if we’re far apart…”from afar we unite” then I saw it was a cover

I went to her music video on YouTube and she does say it's a cover in the title

When Brocha Jaffe and Shaindy Plotzker sang it they gave credit to the original, and then when nachas sang it they gave credit to Brocha and Shaindy.

In case anyone felt good that they listen to Jewish music...
It’s all from the same source. Or mostly.

I'm very impressed. I hope she also got the license to do the cover.

Lol except nachas gave credit to the wrong person. It's also not enough to give credit. You have to actually get legal permission to do a cover, and seperate permission to make a video of the cover.

I didn't say anyone did anything legally. I just found it interesting that nachas didn't even know/decided not to acknowledge it wasn't an original Brocha/Shaindy song.

Why would Jewish singers use non Jewish music? I feel taken advantage of. I feel fooled.

I think because they usually assume they won’t get caught
And because there is a lot of non-Jewish music to borrow
And because its easier to borrow than to write something original
And because most people like the non-Jewish sound anyway, because it’s not like you can actually tell from the instrumentation, harmony and melodies who wrote the music, and “Jewish music” is such a nebulous and ill-defined concept
Even chazzanus and niggunim borrow from non-Jewish melodies, so this isn’t new.
