We wanted to go this summer. I thought it was 5.5 hours but now I realize that it’s 7 hours!
Is it worth it to go for 3.5 days?
How do people make it work?

It really is six of one and half a dozen of the other.
When I was in New Hampshire/Vermont I flew into Boston and then flew a small local airline to the small local airport. By the time all of my travel time added up, it was seven hours at least flying - getting to airport - checking - flying - making connection - flying and then driving from airport. Plus you would probably have to rent a car so add in time to pick up and drop off car.
Whether it is worth it to you depends of course.

Everyone is different but to me it seems like a big shlep for such a short vacation.

I drove once 8 hours to Vermont but then we stayed for nearly 2 weeks exploring the entire state. For 3 days I’d go to the Poconos!

Maybe we should extend our trip… I didn’t want to spend so much and I thought staying for shabbos is complicated but maybe we can work it out.
