Hi,

Where would I be able to go locally to have bloodwork done to see where my Hcg levels are holding(I just had a miscarriage)?

Thank you,

I’m sorry!
I use labcorp, whichever location has the soonest appointment.

Any Labcorp or Quest location. But I think you'd need a script from your doctor.
Do you not have an ob? Most take bloodwork in office.

If you're not interested in going to a doctor, you can have LabCorp order it for you themselves. They charge though, and I think you have to do it online.

Or you could buy cheap HCG strips and just test yourself.

My Ob is pretty far...so rather not travel there. Does a lab corp charge a regular copay?

Call and ask your ob to send in the order.

And copay probably depends on insurance.

You mean I can take a regular pregnancy test to check?

regarding the bolded - NO! HCG strips will not tell you if the levels are going up or down and how high or low.

I'm so sorry OP.

Yes you can. You won’t get quantitative information, but as you see the strips fade you know you’re back down to zero. I did this for both my misses.

All Labcorps allow walkins as far as I know. Just make sure you have your prescription with you, don’t rely on your doctor sending it to them. I’ve had multiple times that the lab didn’t have my prescriptions even then the doctor said they sent it to them so I started always bringing a hard copy.

Also this may be helpful. It’s $49 to get a prescription through Labcorp https://www.ondemand.labcorp.c.....ative

So sorry OP I’m going through a miscarriage too. I’m not in Lakewood but my OB ordered HCG tests for me and sent to labcorp and they told me I could go into any labcorp location and they’ll have it in their system. I’ve been going to different ones (near work and home) without any appointments. My insurance fully covers it but you can check with labcorp first to see if they accept yours. Then just ask your OB to send the order to labcorp electronically.

Hugs and Hatzlacha!
