I don't think this is right. People do stupid things all the time. Should we now not spend valuable money to treat obese people for diabetes or heart problems?
Considering these men ARE wealthy, I do agree with earlier poster that it's appropriate that their families fund - or now, reimburse - the rescue attempts.

It's so bizarre that even others have commented in the news of the similarities between Stockton rush refusing to listen to reason and the dangers and the captain of the titanic being warned about the iceberg. And how certain safety protocols were not done in either scenario. It's creepy.
