Hi,
I know this has been discussed many times, but I want a specific answer for my specific situation. Do right-winged rabbanim permit teenagers to use tampons? What risk is involved? Why would it be a halachic problem? Are there alternatives for a young teenagers to use at a water park? Thanks!

I don’t understand how this could be a halachic issue or a question to ask a rav??
The only risk which is true of any aged woman is Toxic Shock Syndrome which is extremely rare if you follow directions in how often to change them.

Bubba meiseh that it makes a girl a non-virgin or something like that.
Not actually true.
Also girls deserve to know about and to be familiar with their bodies!
I’m yeshivish and it certainly never occurred to me to ask a sheila.

I asked a shaila as a teen and was told the only thing that breaks virginity is relations itself. No problems with tampons. My kalah teacher was so relieved when I told her I use them. She said she would have recommended I start then if I haven't yet done.
