Hi, I'm debating whether to to start taking the tests now before the new testing format rolls out or if it makes more sense to wait until it does in the new year.
I would obviously take BEC first, since it's the section that's changing the most, but I'm wondering if the new CORE sections will be comparable to the current FAR/AUD/REG sections or if they are expected to be harder or easier.
Any insights or advice would be appreciated!

Everyone seems to be recommending to get BEC out of the way first, and if possible AUD as well before 2024. AUD might be getting a bit harder.
Far is supposed to be getting a bit easier.
This is just what I've heard from others.

Hatzlacha from a long time CPA! No practical advice. When I took the exam in 2001 it was all by hand (not computerized) and only given twice a year (May and November). You had to sit for all 4 sections. I took it in November a month before my wedding and passed 3 sections, so then just had to take the last section (tax!) the following May. I ended up doing very well on the tax section since I was able to study exclusively for it. Again, much much hatzlacha!

I heard that BEC and audit will be harder, and FAR and REG will be a little easier.
