I use them as crokpot liners and they work well. Just put a cup of water in the pot under the bag. I would also use them for cooking fish or braising meat, but only after browning the meat first.

They are also great for roasting turkey, chicken. One quick recipe I use for roast chicken and potatoes. Throw cut up potatoes and sliced onions in the bag, season a whole chicken to taste and place in the bag (on top of the veges). Seal the bag, put in a roasting pan, poke holes in the bag to allow steam to escape and bake at 350 for about one and a half hours and you get this perfectly eveny browned, soft, tasty main dish! The bag is supposed to cause the meat to be heated evenly and reduce cooking time.

is that the same thing as the crockpot liners?
I have found that those things add a bad taste to the food.
or maybe I have super sensitive taste buds.
