How Treasury bonds work
There are five types of Treasury securities, including bills, notes and bonds. They generally all work the same except for the maturities or when the investments are paid off.

Treasury bonds have the longest maturities, which are set at 20 and 30 years. As for notes, they range from two years to 10 years. Bills have the shortest maturity, from four weeks to 52 weeks. https://www.kiplinger.com/pers.....bonds

Are any of these liquid, where I can deposit and withdraw when I want to?

If the note isn't held to maturity you would need to sell it (through a broker) to get your cash.

If you want to be fully liquid, I.e. buying and selling at will, I think it would be easier to use mutual funds or ETF's.

Here are some low-cost Vanguard funds. They are probably also available as ETFs.

VFISX Vanguard Short-Term Treasury Fund
VFITX Vanguard Intermediate-Term Treasury Fund
VUSTX Vanguard Long-Term Treasury Fund

You can buy and sell any of these through a brokerage account like Fidelity. If you sell prior to maturity you lose the tax advantage.
