Yes it was me!
The surgery was not an easy fix. It didn't work. The ENT I used was so difficult to communicate with and didn't seem to care that it didn't work. Another Highly recommended ENT didn't care that my child failed the hearing test (one way we know the surgery didn't work).
I would love to get to the root of the problem, but for now I would just be so happy to find an ENT who will help us!!

Do you have an audiologist that you worked with for your child? They do the testing that will point you in the direction of the issue.

Do you know if your child was diagnosed with conductive or sensorineural hearing loss? What type of testing did they do and what kind of doctor did it? I am so sorry that you have not found doctors that are communicative and caring. This can be such a stressful time even without doctor issues!

No, I don't know. Thanks for mentioning it. Now I know what to ask for. The one who did the test just worked for the ENT office.
I'm going to look more into an audiologist.
Thanks!

I’m in the Lakewood area so I don’t think my recommendations will help, my child has hearing loss and wears hearing aids. You need an audiologist to diagnose hearing loss and ENT to diagnose structural and fluid-related issues. Not always do the best ENT and audiologist work in the same practice.
For ENT I use Dr. Ken Kazahaya, affiliated with CHOP and has an outpatient location in Voorhees.
For audiologist every HI child in Lakewood uses Dr. Sara Kader.
Dr. Roland is in NYU, he’s an implant specialist, not a standard ENT.
