Dd wore hers in the mud and I’m wondering if I can throw them in the washing machine? It’s the type with glitter all over…anyone tried it?

I wash my kids natives in the sink or tub. use a magic sponge gently it it's a light color.
I never tried in the washing machine, I was afraid it would ruin the shape.

I clean my floafers all the time in the wash machine. Doesn’t lose shape- dunno about natives though

Let the mud dry & scrub off the big pieces. Then wash in machine in cold water.

I've put them in the washer on cold gentle cycle. Air dry. They came out fine but we didn't have glitter

I wouldn't want all that mud in my washing machine. I would first rinse it under running water till it's mostly clean.

We do this all the time when we get home from the beach and are all sandy.

rinse in the sink to get the mud clumps off, then you can wash on cold cycle. make sure it's only cold! hot water will shrink and ruin the shape!

I rinsed in the sink with a cloth and detergent..then use the cloth to get all the way inside and scrub .
I shined the outside with one of those whitening sprays ( oxi clean maybe)

I don’t scrub off a thing. Throw them into the machine, mud and all. Quick or delicate cycle. Let them air dry. Some pebbles and stuff get stuck to soles but it’s otherwise sparkling
