So basically I love writing poetry and would love to share and hear others. This is a concept I saw on insragram. Write a poem then write two words. The person below must write a poem incorporating those words. Lets begin!

I watch her chest rise
And fall
And rise again
In slow steady rythm
Those eyes that watch
Watch and see
see and trust
That trust
She trusts
She trusts what is yet unseen
Trusts a world that hasn't bared its heart
She does not know of cracked smiles
Of hollow eyes
Of pain unmet
She trusts
Trusts me
I in turn trust
I trust Him
And
I breathe
Slow and rythmic
Rise and fall
Rise and fall

To the one below your words are
Sky and purple

Spring

The way the sun shines today
Reminds me of the way we’d play
And all the creatures sing right now
And then the word decides to swell
With happiness
In spring
And yellow flowers bloom
In pink and purple and gold-
But I
Am crying.

The earth and sky
Are full of hope
But I
Am not.

The ground and heavens
All rejoice
But I
Am dark as night.

All around me people live
Their lives and be
Their best selves
But I
Have a hole in my heart.

So much drama
Every minute
Of every day
Why
Why does it need to be that way

Why
Am I
The receptacle
Of all
Your shame
Blame
Loathing and pain

I am just a child
Why
Mama why

Oh forgot to add words:
Graze and maze

You guys are good!
That last line, wow!

Apologies, this one will rhyme.

Sun was shining, sky was blue
Trees blossomed, flowers grew
Mountains tall, meadows vast
Cows grazed, sauntered past

He said "oh to be so free"
When all I want's in front of me
Just chew and sleep, sleep and chew
No worries, nothing I need to do

Why must we do the things we hate
Why must hurry, why must we wait
Why navigate this maze, this riddle
Struggling, fighting to reach the middle
Oh to chew and chew and sleep
And live a life a nanometer deep.

Love all of these!! We need an Imamother anthology. A bit late to this, but I need some inspiration:

Small hands grasp
Music plays
A circle opens
A circle closes

Daisy crowns
Bare feet skip
Turn to the right
Turn to the left

Sunlit flowers
Fat bees hum
Shadows grow
Shadows shrink

Light is dimming
Laughter fades
All goes dark
All fades out
