A lady in my community has decided along with her family to become kosher. We want to throw her a kosher shower. Any ideas...must have items or games?

TIA

Great Idea! Encourage ppl to buy good quality stuff, not real cheapo. Especially gadget sort of stuff. It would be good to coordinate what ppl are buying to make sure she doesnt end up with 20 pot holders and a can opener.

Maybe have a "is this kosher" game. It will be fun and educational.

Wow, I think you are so thoughtful to throw this family a kitchen shower. How nice. Maybe have them register (like when you get married) for things they like, so people get them things they'll like, and so they don't get 100 knife sets.

When I saw the title of this thread I thought it was announcing a new product by the makers of the kosher lamp and the kosher toothbrush. I was wondering how they could make a kosher shower when I realized the thread was in the kitchen forum. Then I got really confused. LOL

This shower sounds like a lovely idea. Maybe you should find out what she already has that can be kashered and then work around that. Setting up a kosher kitchen can be expensive. She might appreciate a few people chipping in to buy her new pots rather than getting a few cheaper gadgets. I also find red, blue, and green nail polish helpful in labeling utensils, etc.

That's such a cute idea!!!!
It's such a nice thing to do... You could have people you are inviting send you their favorite kosher recipes befoehand and make a cookbook for her. Or you can play name the hechsher?
