1. No balls in the house
2. No whistles
3. You clean up your mess
4. Speak respectfully to others, Hashem created them
5. You respect and appreciate Hashems gifts to you when you take care of items properly (like picking up a towel from the floor instead of stepping on it)

3. Never eat the chicken skins. It's poison. They've never tried it and don't plan on. They truly believe it's poison and were shocked when my sister's kids ate it and survived. [/quote]
Can you share your reasoning for this rule?

No eating upstairs.
No unhealthy snacks before bedtime (healthy ones are fine, I.e. fruits, veg, rice cakes, applesauce etc)
Generally, no shoes in the house.
Brushing teeth twice a day.

If you ride your bike without a helmet, if someone else rides your bike without a helmet or if you ride someone else’s bike without a helmet, you lose your bike for a day, second time, a week. If it happens again we talk about selling.
Every rider in the car must be belted in. In an appropriate car seat or booster, if applicable.

I don’t care about shoes on the couch, books on the floor, saying please specifically (you do need to ask nicely), super specific bedtimes (there’s an approximate time) and a few other rules listed here.
Mine mostly have to do with safety, responsibility, practicality, and habit management.
No sitting on top of your sibling.
Watch over your own things and put them away where they belong. Don’t ask me where your prizes/stuff/shoes are.
Chores are not negotiable but if you ask nicely there’s a possibility you can do them later
No new books/magazines after bed time on school nights
No pacifiers outside of bed if you’re past one year old, no pacifiers at all if you’re past two. I happily allow other comfort items.

This makes me worry about my parenting. Aside from buckle up, be kind to one another, and put on a helmet we don't have any hard set rules. I need to work on this.
