I made egg rolls with cabbage and after they were rolled and ready to cook, dh came home. He saw the egg rolls all rolled up already and said "you could have put turkey in" I didn't think about it. He said I can just leave it as is but deep down I knew he would have enjoyed it with the turkey mixed in. I ended up unrolling them and adding it in. What would you have done?

Depends. On my mood, the time factor, how nicely or not nicely he said it, whether or not I had turkey handy...but I would most likely have left them as is. I don't appreciate "suggestions" after I've already put in so much work. It's not as if the rolls are bad without turkey. DH should appreciate that you went through all the work of making the blessed things from scratch and not make comments. If he wants turkey so much, he can unroll a few and put the turkey in himself.

I think you're amazing. I would have smiled and said next time, or you're welcome to make them with the turkey. Once I had made them, I wasn't going to start doing them again.

No, but I don't think my dh would've said that tbh.

No way would I redo them. I’d offer to let him redo them though, and teach him how.

I would ask him if he could add it in if it’s that important to him. I don’t have time to play around before Yom Tov . If I had nothing else to do maybe I would have done it myself.

This type of thing happens in my house. I would say, "That's a nice idea. These are made, but remind me for next time."
