I am looking for DRY ACTIVE, 2 diff yeasts.

anyone tried allinson dry active?

Yes I use Allison dry yeast.
Always worked fine.

I dont know if its powder, I never tried it.

I use the small tins of Allison's and keep in the fridge. Am very happy with how it comes out

I use the green Allison tin I write the date I open the tin, works less well after 3 months and it says uses within 4 months. Keep it in the fridge. sometimes the sachet

I've used both types of allisons and they've always come out fine. Can I ask what the difference is between the types of yeast? I've always just bought whichever-does it matter? I always proof the yeast first.

dried active needs to be proofed first. the recipe I am using calls for dry active.
