amother OP wrote: | My family and I recently made Aliyah and I am due around Chanukah. We don’t know what we are having but originally we were thinking Shalom for a boy middle name - now I’m feeling like I want something showing more strength, resilience and a bit less passive than “Shalom”
Would love ideas for boy/girl names that mean light, strength, victory etc. Ty! |
It’s funny I’m also due around the same time and was thinking of shalom as a middle name.

I’m also due around that time and was thinking Yehuda for a boy! I also thought of Gavriel and Shalom and also Nechmeya. What do you think of Refael? What are more names that mean strength or would indicate this time? I like less Israeli sounding names
For girls, I’m thinking Chana but want a middle name that would go with the time

These are beautiful suggestions but OP I’d run some of them by a Rov. I seem to think that amatzia and azaria might have not been the best people in melachim alef or Bais.
But if you’re due on Chanukah any of the macabim but be a great idea-
I’m kind of partial to Elazar.
