Always someone gotta be "righteous" and be a stick in the mud. Yes, it is terrible times and yes we need to daven more and have bitachon and emunah. How does it help to be depressed and nervous and being sad all the time? That's totally the opposite of emunah and bitachon in Hashem.

Yes, I do. But the message is not that we should all be depressed, living in a dark place in our head. We have to keep going. Ive been shopping, we made challah yesterday, did hafrashat challah and said so many names for a yeshua. Im watching things, in the comfort of my home a d this helps me, and some of my family, to stay sane and not into a dark place.
Why does it have to be all or nothing?
Why cant I see the message but also continue with my life?
Another great example of life going on is the amount of weddings we have been hearing a out. Yes, here, in israel. In my community alone there have been 3 weddings in the past week.

The message I've received is to strengthen my Emunah by living my life. We were chosen for life, we should do what we need to do to be happy, to feel okay. (with appropriate mourning)

Doc Martin on Acorn is my favourite series. I'm watching it for the 5th time because it makes me feel better. Uplifting, funny, clean, beautiful scenery. Just force yourself through the first episode and I'll promise you'll be hooked.

Genuinely clean (if there's one or two off scenes that are skippable is fine)
Usually we skip around series and check parent guides to avoid off episodes
To give you an idea of recommendations
We watched psych, monk, perry mason, matlock, diagnosis murder, merlin, sherlock, family ties, all in the family, the d!ck ban dyke show, the andy Griffith show
Does anyone have any good recommendations? |
You may like White collar, leverage, person of interest, Chuck
They are all mostly clean and fun

Why do you feel the need to judge others?
And j was not equating those things, just showing how prople are doing different things here in israel, to keep themselves sane.
And I dont hold that watching things is wrong. Not if its helping me stay sane and less anxious.
