Anyone had this happen to them? (Live in lakewood for reference) I had a phone update for my kids erev sukkos and when the new month started I saw the balance went from $50 for fruits/veg to $18. I have 2 kids on Wic ages 1 and 3. Wondering if I should call them or if this could happen? All the other amounts stayed the same.

Same. I used very little in the beginning of the month and then all of a sudden there was none left. I guess the amounts went down. I'm in Brooklyn.

I got this email 2 days ago
WIC BENEFITS DELAY

Prior to being able to issue WIC benefits to our families in the month of October, the Ocean County WIC Program had to wait for the House and Senate to approve funding for the federal government at current levels. We are happy to report that the government shutdown was averted and that funding for WIC is secured, however, we must now issue benefits that were on hold to the thousands of families we serve. Unfortunately, this process must be done household-by-household.

The Ocean County WIC Program is reaching out to inform you that while we are actively working through issuing benefits, you and your household may experience a small delay before seeing benefits available on your eWIC card. We encourage you to check the WIC Shopper App or call the number on your card to assess your balance prior to shopping for your WIC items at this time.

We are working hard to process these as quickly as possible and sincerely appreciate your patience. We are aware this is occurring and, at this time, our Call Center and email representatives are not able to process these any faster than current levels. Thank you so much for your investment in the WIC program - we are doing everything we can to support you during this time.

Sincerely,
Ocean County WIC Program
