My recipe is just that.. chicken bottoms that’s it lol.
I fry on med flame in a nonstick frying pan with the cover on to avoid a mess. Turn bottoms over every 10-15 mins. It’s usually done within 45 mins. Deliciously crispy! My favorite!

Heat oil over medium-high heat. Season chicken legs all around and under skin with garlic, salt & paprika; add them skin side down to the skillet. Cook until chicken skins are browned, about 5 minutes.
Turn chicken right side up, add some water to the sides of the pan so chicken doesn't burn while it cooks, and reduce heat to low. Cover and cook until done, about 40 min to 1 hour, depending on how many pieces you're doing at a time.

I do pretty much what ra_mom said- but here's my version:
Parchment paper to pan first. (Makes for easier pot washing).
Circle slices of onions, couple cloves garlic, chicken on top. sprinkle paprika, salt, mix of fresh ground pepper plus whatever spices I fancy that moment (usually either a bit of ginger, or turmeric).
I usually throw in a sliced tomato or pepper if it’s too soft for salad- adds taste, sometimes carrot too. Not a must- but more taste. And the best part for my kid she is when I slice in potatoes.
