One of the places I work at gave me a Microsoft Outlook email, which provides me with OneDrive, which I have found to be amazing. I need to write reports for work, and this way I can have access to my reports from home or wherever I am.

I am looking for the OneDrive type of idea to use in my 2nd place, any ideas? Does Gmail offer such a thing?

Open google drive and you can just drop files in it to save.
On the top left there's a 'New' button - you can create files there.

A Google Doc is the equivalent of a Word Doc which you can also create from the New option
There's Google Sheets which is like Excel
Google Slides like PowerPoint (I think)
Those will all auto save after changes

Does it make sense that I can link my Gmail account to my Microsoft account and have access to OneDrive that way? through my personal email?

You're able to open your Gmail in Outlook but I don't know if that gives you a separate OneDrive account (I would assume not but never tried)

How to access Google Drive by work?
Once you have your email open, go to the 9 dots on the top right and one of the options are Google Drive. You can access from anywhere.
On your phone you can use the Google Drive app
