Random question but I am a SAHM and I never know what to write when filling out paperwork that asks for "occupation"? Like school applications for example. What is the correct thing to write? I do have a degree in a certain profession but have not worked in a number of years. I feel like there is probably an obvious answer but I don't know it.

N/A or homemmaker. I wouldn't put a field that you aren't currently working in.

I write "homemaker", usually also in drop down lists that's an option, otherwise n/a
Not "unemployed" because that means you're looking for work

I reported it by mistake. I didn't get the joke (I forgot the title was occupation) and it freaked me out. There are so many free Palestine comments all over social media it scared me. Sorry!

I just put mother even if it's not an occupation (since people who work are just as much mothers), it's the simplest. But I don't think anyone really cares so long as you write something.
