I switched phones recently and now I can’t see some people’s statuses.
The only way to view the status is to manually go to their profile and push the profile picture and press that I want to view the status. So I know I’m not blocked and they didn’t remove my contact from their phone.
This only happens with some contacts.
I don’t know all of them because I didn’t check everyone I know, for all I know they’re not posting.
The ones I know I can’t see are contacts with big followings. One is a business account but others aren’t.
I can otherwise view regular people and businesses status.
I checked privacy I checked blocked contacts.

You might have muted those status in the past and now that you probably updated your WhatsApp version on your new phone, you don’t see them under the status update list where they use to be. To find them, while you’re opened to status updates you will see in the uppermost right corner a circle with 3 dots in it. Click on that and it will give u the option of muted statuses, where you should see them.

You got it!!! Thank you. For some reason when I checked on their profile if it was muted it showed no 🤷♀️ and the muted status was indeed in that new place and they’re there!

Had the same issue when I updated recently and it was frustrating til I figured it out…so I’m glad to be of help 🙂
