ok- so the book says a cup of chicken broth is 0 pts.

I would think that it would be 1 point at least.

what do all of you WW ppl do?

I think if you skim the fat off it's 0, but I wouldn't count on that if you add a lot of starchy veggies etc. Also remember usually you eat more than 1 cup of broth. One cup would be pretty small soup bowl.

I count a good bowl of soup as 2 points because there are vegetables in there.

If all the fat has been skimmed off, you can count it as a free food - even with vegetables! As long as they are carrots, celery, onions etc that are free vegetables anyway.

If there are noodles, matzo balls or starchy vegetable, you have to count those seperately. I never use any starch vegetables in my chicken soup, so I can't think of which ones you might mean...
