My 3 year old daughter is ready for a bed. She’s currently in a toddler bed that converts from a crib. On a few months I’ll be putting my baby in her room and changing it back into a crib for her. My question is if I’m buying a bed now does it makes sense to buy two? Because eventually that baby will need a bed and I’d like them to have matching beds so the room looks nice. I do not want to buy a hi riser and would like to buy like a pink platform bed kind of thing from wayfair or Amazon etc. I could technically store in my garage but it just seems odd to buy right now. Also I can prob get myself to spend the 150-200 the second bed will cost but not like I have extra money lying around.

Of course buy 2. You'll never get an exact match if you don't buy them together.

I would buy the cheapest frame I could buy and wait for the 2 fancy beds, unless you saw something at an unbelievable price and you must take.
Ask about the cheapest frame wherever you buy the mattress from
Something like this
https://www.amazon.com/Twin-Be.....ss_tl
Plus this is foldable so it’s easy to store
You could make it pretty with a long bedspread and lots of pillows

You can purchase a bunkbed and only set up half.
You can either set up the second half side by side as a typical room or as a bunkbed should you be short in space.
It looks nice bec there is a head/foot board.

It is not so odd to buy 2 beds now, since you already have a second girl who will be using it in a few years. I only bought one for my oldest girl because, like you I thought I was being silly, but I did regret not getting two. I eventually had to get rid of the single bed and purchase a set anyways.

Yes buy two
I like every room in my house to have two matching beds, whether or not two people sleep in that room
Sometimes kids move out of the room and I put up guests, etc

A bunk bed will be a good idea. You can separate it and if you can always put it back together if you need to in the future
